Workplace Toolkits

Over 22 million people in the United States struggle with the disease of addiction and nearly 70% of them are employed full-time. Addiction is a treatable disease, and there is hope for recovery. Recovery happens at home, in communities, and in the workplace.

At the 2019 Recovery Reinvented event, the Recovery-Friendly Workplaces initiative was announced. The goal is to empower employers and human resources with information and toolkits to create recovery-friendly workplaces. Included are resources such as the Workplace Cost Calculator, the Shatterproof Addiction Education Program, and the SAMHSA Workplace Toolkit.

Together, we can prioritize behavioral health in the workplace across the full continuum of care which includes prevention, treatment and recovery – leading to a healthy, happy, and productive workforce.
