Don't Quit the Quit

Don’t Quit the Quit is a grant program developed to empower rural, North Dakota women in recovery from opioid use disorder. Don’t Quit the Quit is funded by the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts (FORE) in collaboration with the University of North Dakota, the Heartview Foundation, and North Dakota WIC. Don’t Quit the Quit has three aims: (1) Increase access to care by growing the number of local healthcare providers who can prescribe medications to treat opioid use disorder in women who are pregnant or postpartum (2) Increase community awareness, education and knowledge about opioid use disorder in an effort to decrease stigma (3) Increase community support for families impacted by opioid use disorder by training community members to become postpartum doulas As part of their education efforts, Don’t Quit the Quit offers free monthly educational webinars that are open to anyone who wishes to learn about opioid use disorders in women. Women with opioid use disorder, who are pregnant or postpartum and in recovery, can enroll in Don’t Quit the Quit through a participating provider and become eligible to receive diapers through the program. Don’t Quit the Quit is found in Benson, Bottineau, Cavalier, McHenry, Pierce, Ramsey, Rolette, and Towner counties.

Nar-Anon Family Groups

Nar-Anon is a 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of living with an addicted relative or friend. Their program of recovery uses Nar-Anon's Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. The only requirement to be a member and attend Nar-Anon meetings is that there is a problem of drugs or addiction in a relative or friend. They are not affiliated with any other organization or outside entity.

Recovery Elevator

Many, including the RE Team, find solace and comfort in our cohesive community. Beyond the Recovery Elevator Podcast they produce, they also bring like-minded individuals together, particularly in early sobriety, who seek a better life without alcohol through support and accountability.
